Job Overview

The Demand Planner supports Novvia's forecasting and planning activities through demand forecasting and collaboration with Sales and business stakeholders. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, strong in Excel, comfortable working with large datasets, and able to translate business trends into accurate demand plans.

This position works closely with Sales, Customer Service, Product Management, and Supply Chain teams to ensure forecast assumptions reflect current customer demand and market conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update demand forecasts at the customer/SKU/location level using historical trends, sales input, system data, and business assumptions.
  • Review forecast exceptions, identify trends or changes in demand, and support ongoing improvements in forecast accuracy.
  • Lead forecast review discussions with Sales teams to gather commercial input and understand customer-level changes.
  • Analyze forecast performance and assist in tracking forecast accuracy and forecast bias metrics.
  • Identify demand risks and opportunities and communicate potential impacts to stakeholders.
  • Document key forecasting assumptions and significant forecast changes to support planning discussions.
  • Prepare demand planning inputs and analysis to support the monthly S&OP process.
  • Analyze customer demand trends, sales history, and business drivers to improve forecast quality.
  • Maintain and use planning reports, dashboards, and analytical tools to support forecasting activities.
  • Champion data accuracy and integrity within planning systems, reports, and forecast inputs.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts related to forecasting processes, reporting accuracy, and analytical efficiency.

Job Specifications and Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Analytics, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, supply chain analytics, sales analytics, or a related analytical role.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to work with large datasets, perform complex analysis, and produce meaningful business insights.
  • Experience maintaining demand forecasts at the customer/SKU/location level.
  • Understanding of forecasting concepts, forecast accuracy measurement, and demand planning methodologies.
  • Ability to lead forecast review discussions with Sales teams and gather commercial inputs.
  • Strong analytical aptitude with the ability to identify trends, exceptions, risks, and opportunities within large datasets.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively across multiple departments.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience supporting an established S&OP, SIOP, or Integrated Business Planning process.
  • Experience with Netstock or similar planning systems.
  • Experience using Power BI, Tableau, or similar business intelligence tools for analysis and decision support.
  • Experience in a distribution or packaging environment.
  • Process improvement mindset with the ability to identify practical ways to improve forecasting effectiveness.
